Troon, in South Ayrshire, is situated on the coast, with wonderful views directly across the Firth of Clyde to Arran
Troon is located about eight miles north of Ayr and approximately three miles northwest of Glasgow Prestwick International Airport.
Troon is also a port with freight and ferry services - the P&O Express to Larne and a yacht marina.
Troon is famous for its Royal Troon golf course, host to the Open Golf Championship, which is usually held every seven years. With plenty of boutique shops to browse around and beaches and play parks to entertain the children, it is the ideal place to enjoy some time away from the city air.
